1. Tax Associate

This is a full-time role for a tax accountant who is willing to learn and excited to work with great clients in Houston.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Active pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  •  Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.) is a plus
  •  Desire to continue to grow through continuing training

Skills and Qualifications

  •   Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance
  •   Ability and willingness to keep maintain confidentiality
  •   Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  •   Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently

2. Audit Associate/ Senior Associate

We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Audit Associate or Senior Associate in our Houston office.

Responsibilities

  • Ideal candidate is expected to perform all aspects of the audit with minimum supervision.
  • Plan, organize and schedule engagements with clients to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and reporting and communicate engagement status and issues with client and partners.
  • Prepare financial statements with disclosures and validate, test and assess various control systems.
  • Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction.
  • Proactively maintain contact with the client throughout the year.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA Certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification
  • Minimum 2-5 years of recent experience in a public accounting environment, auditing financial statements
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS; knowledge of IFRS standards and SEC preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to teamwork and leadership
